Job Description:

Our client is seeking a full-time Senior BIM Technician for their Madison office. The ideal candidate will proficiently utilize building information modeling (BIM) software to craft 3D building models and produce 2D drawings and documents. This role presents an outstanding opportunity to contribute to a reputable municipal consulting engineering firm serving clients across Wisconsin.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize BIM software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks, to develop 3D building models and produce 2D drawings and documents.
  • Collaborate closely with Municipal, Water, and Wastewater engineers to conceptualize and plan construction projects.
  • Identify and resolve design conflicts or issues, devising innovative solutions to intricate problems.
  • Ensure designs adhere to industry standards and building codes.
  • Oversee projects from inception to completion, organizing tasks, prioritizing effectively, and meeting deadlines.
  • Conduct on-site visits and inspections to ensure construction progress aligns with plans.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements and trends in BIM engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as civil engineering, architecture, or construction management; 5+ years of professional experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in BIM software, particularly AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, consistently delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team, exhibiting a sense of urgency in goal attainment and meeting project deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable about industry standards and building codes.
